On the day
Bled Castle stands on a 130-metre cliff above Lake Bled, the oldest castle in Slovenia, first recorded in 1011. Walk up from the lakeside in about 15–20 minutes or drive to the upper car park, show your mobile ticket at the gate, and make straight for the terrace before the museum, chapel and cellar. The castle is open every day, 08:00–20:00 in summer and 08:00–18:00 in winter.
